Paralegal and Administrative Support Services

Paralegal/Legal Assistant

The Paralegal/Legal Assistant shall have at least two years Prior Experience and either (1)
a B.A. or B.S. from an accredited college or university or (2) a paralegal certification or
law degree from an American Bar Association accredited program.

Prior Experience is defined as having demonstrated professional skills to provide assistance
to Chief Counsel, Deputy Chief Counsel and Attorney-Advisors (or equivalent) in their
respective undertaking of legal matters and with coordination skills to arrange legal
projects and project teams when appropriate. Prior Experience also requires:

a) At least one year litigation support experience, such a preparing documents
and evidence to support pretrial preparations;
b) At least one year experience with FOIA and FOIA processing systems,
including redactions, and
c) At least one year experience of legal research skills with proficiency in
Lexis-Nexis and PACER

In particular, the Paralegal/Legal Assistant must have the ability to evaluate and analyze
pertinent facts; and coordinate information and materials from multiple sources in order to
meet established deadlines, outstanding customer service skills, and strong oral and written
communication skills. Excellent judgment and use of discretion; trustworthiness with
sensitive information is paramount. Comfortable in adapting to change and varying work
priorities upon short notice. The ability to prioritize and work under a tight schedules,
software knowledge, and an in depth knowledge of legal terminology and principles.

The Paralegal/Legal Assistant may be required to attend educational courses or trainings
relevant to the contract taskings.
