GENERAL STUDENT TRAINEE (SECURITY)

NRO will select multiple motivated, qualified individuals to engage in the Cadre Intern Program while applying creative solutions to security issues. Interns will plan and accomplish the work of the position under close supervision. The NRO Cadre Intern program is not open to candidates graduating from an undergraduate or graduate degree program after May 2021. Students in this situation are deemed ineligible and are encouraged to apply for NRO Developmental positions on USAJobs.

The NRO student trainee internship program provides students pursuing advanced education with paid opportunities to work at NRO and explore career paths related to their academic field of study or career interests.

Summer interns are full-time employees on a temporary appointment for the period of May 2021 - August 2021. After successfully completing the initial summer assignment, interns may be approved by the Student Internship Program to work full-time during winter breaks. These opportunities are highly competitive. Applicants must be US citizens, have a strong academic record (cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above on a 4.0 scale), and possess outstanding communication skills.
