2021 Experiential Internship Summer Research
The Pharmaceutics function within Abbvie’s drug product development team is looking for a motivated, analytical, and communicative student interested in solving complex problems in data analytics. You will work with scientists and engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy data analysis and processing workflows for large experimental data sets. You will be able to apply your education and programming skills to improve and optimize data management in the context of scientific research for the physico-chemical and biopharmaceutical characterization of candidates during the early drug discovery and development process.
Purpose:
• Partner with assay owners to automate common data analysis processes.
• Partner with informational researchers for developing a web-based platform for placing assay requests within the department.
• Build-in immersive visual analysis templates in collaboration with assay owners.
Qualifications
- Minimum GPA = 3.0/4.0
- Returning to university for at least one semester
- Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology & Systems
- Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects)
- Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
