The Role:
Morning Consult is seeking a dynamic self-starter to join its Communications team as a summer intern. This role will engage across all communications functions, including but not limited to proactive and reactive public relations, internal communications, and social media.

We’re looking to hire someone with a genuine enthusiasm for the news cycle and data-driven storytelling. This intern will assist the team in building and updating pitch lists, writing PR collateral, monitoring brand mentions, and more.

This role will learn new communications skills and hone existing ones by collaborating with the Communications team and the larger Content division. They’ll be on the frontlines of Morning Consult’s data inspiring and informing headlines in the news cycle, witnessing firsthand how their collaborative work translates into earned media.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
  • Support the Communications team across all day-to-day proactive and reactive efforts
  • Write PR collateral including, but not limited to clips and pitches
  • Create, update and curate key pitch lists
  • Research brand-building opportunities
  • Assist in administrative duties

  • Rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, business, or a related discipline required
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Foundational understanding and/or passion for public relations
  • Excitement to learn and work collaboratively in a remote environment
  • Ability to multitask 
  • Foundational understanding of survey research
