Fall ’21 Internship | Partnerships & Government Relations Team

Civic Nation is seeking an intern for its Partnerships & Government Relations team. The intern, reporting to the Director of Corporate Partnerships, will provide support on partnership management, engagement, and outreach for corporate and community partners as well as with elected officials. Additionally, the intern will collaborate on building external facing memos and presentations necessary for partner deliverables and maintenance. This is an exciting position for someone who is passionate about solving today’s most pressing issues and excels at professional communication, organization and project management, creative thinking, problem solving, time management, and teamwork. 

ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIPS & GOVERNMENT RELATIONS TEAM
The Partnerships & Government Relations team is responsible for supporting each Civic Nation program and initiative by relationship building, partnership development, stakeholder outreach, and strategy consultation that advances our mission and promotes positive systems change.

YOUR IMPACT
  • Support in the development, growth, and maintaining of corporate, community, and government partnerships
  • Uncover co-marketing, volunteering, and fundraising opportunities through corporate partnerships
  • Mobilize community partners around community-focused events
  • Collaborate with elected officials to bring a Civic Nation initiative to various cities, states, and/or communities

YOUR EXPERIENCE 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Experience networking, cold calling, and building professional documents
  • Bonus experience working previously in a partnerships, marketing, policy, or communications role

YOUR COMPETENCIES 
  • Hardworking, commutative, enthusiastic, willing to learn, flexible, a self-starter, and independent thinker. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate via phone and email, and bring best self to work

COMPENSATION & EXPECTED HOURS
This is a part-time, three-month-long commitment commencing September 8, 2021, and ending December 10, 2021. Interns are expected to work up to 20-hours each week and will be compensated at the rate of $15.20 per hour.
