Motion Graphic / Video Internship - Spring 2022

Overview

The Creative Studio at FleishmanHillard in Washington, D.C. is looking to hire a full-time motion graphics/video intern. We’re looking for passionate, innovative, creative thinkers, with strong design aesthetics.

The Motion Graphic Design Intern must have a strong ability to collaborate, communicate, problem solve, create motion graphics, and edit video. Come with an understanding of the design process, experience with video workflow and organization, type design, and fluent working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Cinema 4D (optional), and overall desire to learn, create and have fun (not optional). Working understanding of common CODECs and compression tools also desirable.

Story-telling capabilities through motion/still graphics to create well-balanced combinations of graphics, video, and audio would benefit any candidate. Aesthetic sensibility and knowledge of design fundamentals are key. Our team does great work and seeks applicants that can keep up with the pace, put great stuff out there and be a part of a dynamic creative group, located in downtown D.C. This is not a passive internship and we aren’t hiring you to be a coffee gopher, it’s a work-experience that you should be psyched and ready for!

We depend on our interns heavily. As a fully integrated member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety digital, interactive and motion projects. You’ll also get involved in the early stages of some of our most exciting and challenging projects.

This is a full-time, paid internship with a three-month term. The internship program will be virtual, with occasional opportunities to work on site in our D.C. office. We only consider applicants who submit a portfolio of work.

Qualifications

Any candidate hoping for serious consideration MUST submit a portfolio of work. Reels, portfolio webpages and YouTube/Vimeo channels are all acceptable. If submitting a reel, please include a description of some of the projects you sampled and how you were involved in them (either in the video description, or somewhere else in the application.
