Title Registration Aide 1

Are you within six months of completing your Associate’s degree program in Paralegal Studies? This is specialized public contact work, of limited scope, receiving and reviewing routine real estate transaction and other legal documents to determine acceptability for recording. Employees in this class ascertain that documents are properly and completely prepared and explain the proper preparation of documents as required. Contact with title company representatives and the general public to provide and elicit information related to the recording of real estate transaction documents is a significant aspect of the work. Work is performed under the supervision of a technical supervisor. 

This job requires (by July 2022):

OPTION 1:
 
1. EDUCATION:
Completion of an Associate’s degree program in Paralegal Studies from an accredited college or university.
 
OR
 
OPTION 2:
 
1. EDUCATION:
Education equivalent to completion of the twelfth school grade.

AND

2. GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
 
 One year of clerical experience interpreting and reviewing real estate documents or providing administrative support in a law firm, legal agency or court system with responsibility for research, interpreting and drafting legal documents.
 
OR
 
Six months of experience interpreting and reviewing real estate documents
 
AND
 
• Possession of an active certification as a Mortgage Loan Processor or Mortgage Loan Underwriter as issued by the National Association of Mortgage Underwriters. OR 
• Possession of an active Title Insurance Agent license as issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Insurance Department Bureau of Licensing and Enforcement.
