Basic Purpose
To gain valuable insight into Navy Federal’s business, technology, resources and procedures by providing support in focused areas, applying knowledge and education. Participate in a collaborative, team driven network and interact with multiple departments. Receive guidance and direction from team and management. Utilize and further develop technical and soft skills, business knowledge, analytical techniques and creative problem solving abilities. Provide professional execution of day to day tasks and special projects while working within established standards, policies and procedures. This is a year-round, Full or Part –Time, flexible internship based on school schedule.

Responsibilities
•   Conduct research and preparation of reference material 
•   Serve on teams and task groups for projects/initiatives within the business unit and/or across the 
   organization concerning new automated systems, products and/or services
•   Develop and administer online reference material, instructions and communications 
•   Review proposed policy and procedure changes for technical adequacy, completeness and compliance to 
   regulations 
•   Interview business owners to determine task objectives, requirements and needs including complex 
   intranet resources 
•   Maintain documentation library to ensure currency of processes 
•   Identify, communicate and resolve technical, tactical and operational project issues and risks 
•   Analyze, research and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts/loans 
•   Ensure software/systems meet regulatory and procedural requirements 
•   Research, develop and recommend enhancements to improve operational processes and procedures 
•   Identify and detect errors/omissions; resolve or arrange for the resolution 
•   Serve as subject matter expert regarding business functions, systems, policies and/or procedures 
•   Test and implement software and/or processes 
•   Work with other business units to resolve systems and equipment issues 
•   Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
•   Must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college/university
•   Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
•   Effective research, analytical, and problem solving skills
•   Effective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
•   Ability to exercise initiative and good judgment to make sound decisions
•   Ability to adapt to new technologies
•   Ability to provide exceptional customer service
•   Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills
•   Effective organizational, planning and time management skills
•   Ability to work independently and in a team environment
•   Desired - Communication with impact and be committed to self-development
•   Desired - exposure to SQL, VB.net, AutoIT, C#, Java, JavaScript, SharePoint, PEGA, and/or similar

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (minimum of 30 hours a week)
May require some call in and at home work on nights and/or weekends.

* Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for a hybrid schedule is to report onsite 4-16 days each month. The number of days reporting onsite will ultimately be determined by the employee's leadership and business unit needs. You will learn more throughout the hiring and onboarding process.

Salary: $15.00 - $30.10 Hourly
