Disney Live Entertainment Advanced Development Intern, Spring 2024

Live Entertainment Advanced Development (LEAD) is a research and development studio tasked with identifying and developing pioneering artistic talent, emerging technologies, and bolstering the future and best of live entertainment in our parks globally. 

Make an impact by…

  • Supporting the LEAD Team through various phases for advanced development projects
  • Assisting LEAD Team with estimates, schedules, presentations, and other production documentation
  • Coordinating and attending meetings with LEAD, Entertainment Production and other teams and participants
  • Providing assistance in supporting the development and execution of production process including tracking of financial status, reporting on progress against schedule and managing consultant and vendor efforts
  • Developing treatments and/or creating presentations to further design, pitch concepts, and flesh out ideas relevant to Executive Creative Director assignments
  • Supporting various production events, such as mockups and work sessions
  • Contributing to the development and execution of presentations and meetings
  • Providing research supporting the development of projects and presenting findings
  • Gaining a deep understanding of the role of Live Entertainment in Parks and Resorts by visiting and touring the parks, participating in customized learning sessions, and becoming an integral member of the team

Basic Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Keynote, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Familiarity and some proficiency with Adobe programs
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule including days, nights and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in theater or event coordination, preferably outside of an educational program
  • Current valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Operating a company vehicle may be part of this role

Required Education

  • Earning or completing a MFA/MBA/MA degree in Producing, Stage Management, Event Management, Directing, Scenic Design, Writing or related field


Preferred Education

  • GPA of 3.0 or higher

Internship Eligibility:

  • Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from college within the past six months OR be currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Not have already completed two consecutive (spring/fall) College or Professional Internship Programs
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must provide full work availability
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work

Program Dates: The approximate dates of this internship are January 2024 through June 2024.  Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.

Housing and Transportation: This internship is located in Glendale, CA. Candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
