Functional Specialist

WWC Federal is seeking a Functional Specialist to support the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, Background Investigations directorate.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing technical and subject matter support to the Chief of Staff on mission, administration, and workforce efforts.
  • Supporting knowledge management capabilities.
  • Assisting with the establishment of a Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) plan.
  • Supporting a number of strategic planning and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) efforts.
  • Developing PowerPoint slide visualizations and presentations for various parts of the organization.
  • Assisting with a Front Office SharePoint page.
  • Providing oversight and guidance to the management of the Directorate’s governance structure.
  • Conducting scheduling, pre-meeting presentation reviews, technical set-up, and planning actions including assisting meeting presenters with the development of factual, relevant, and explicable presentations.
  • Organizing meeting hot washes to assist BI leadership with transparent decision-making, timely action follow-up, and process improvement.
  • Tracking, reporting, and recording council meeting outcomes; storing records for future reference.
  • Creating agendas and recording, documenting, and disseminating meeting minutes.
  • Developing surveys, conducting interviews, collecting and analyzing data to inform workforce studies; and coordinating with leadership to organize teams and develop implementation strategies for subsequent recommendations.
  • Coordinating with Government leadership and stakeholders to create narrative and visual content, flow charts, and diagrams for mission and workforce products in response to routine and ad-hoc requests.
  • Managing the CATMS Tracker Activities:
    • Receiving, analyzing, disseminating, and tracking external and internal taskers using CATMS, tracking tools, and other information request streams.
    • Reviewing, validating and compiling feedback.
    • Scheduling senior leadership reviews, coordinating approval for release, and delivering final product through the appropriate mechanism.
    • Communicating timely updates, suspense dates, reminders, and actions throughout the BI mission.
    • Conducting weekly CATMS meetings for updates and coordination.

This position is contingent on vacancy.

Work Environment:
 

  • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.
  • Employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

Travel:

  • 10% - 20% / Occasional Travel.
