Business Development Representative

The Business Development Rep (BDR) is part of a dynamic team that helps Racket's clients enter a new phase of growth. The SDR will be an individual contributor responsible for generating leads, setting demos and appointments for their prospective clients. 

The ideal SDR has a strong understanding of the sales process to successfully research new leads, contact prospects via multiple channels, and develop new relationships. This person should also be a quick learner with strong communication skills that is able to showcase our product line in a confident and compelling way

This position is 100% remote anywhere in the US.

This is WHAT you do

  • Represent the company’s products and services, using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how our solutions meet customer needs
  • Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding potential new sales opportunities
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives in next steps
  • Identify best practices for refining the company’s lead-generation playbook

This is HOW you do it

  • Utilize cold calls, email, and social medial to generate new sales opportunities
  • Identify the needs of prospects, and suggest appropriate uses of our tool set to solve those problems
  • Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and sales executives
  • Report to sales manager with weekly results

This is what will give you an EDGE

  • Two or more years of experience in sales, with a track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or at least two years of relevant work experience
  • Experience as a sales development representative, with a track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Proficiency with CRM software
  • Familiarity with ERP’s and manufacturing
